Tour Overview
All our 10-day Africa wildlife safaris are designed to give you more time in the Serengeti National Park and include the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, and Tarangire National Park.
This itinerary begins in Zanzibar with cultural and marine activities, then continues to the northern circuit of Tanzania for game drives and crater exploration. Accommodation options can be adapted to suit your budget and preferences.
Sample Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival in Zanzibar
Arrive at Zanzibar Airport, transfer to your beach resort, and relax with dinner and overnight half board at Sunbright Campsite.
Day 1: Dolphin Tour
After breakfast, drive south for a dolphin excursion and lunch. In the evening transfer to Stone Town for overnight at Zanzibar Serena Inn with half board.
Day 2: Stone Town Tour
Explore historic Stone Town, visit the Anglican Cathedral, the former slave market site, Tippu Tip House, Old Fort, House of Wonders, and the narrow winding streets of the old city.
Day 3: Zanzibar to Arusha
Fly from Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro International Airport and continue with your Tanzania safari program.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park
Drive to Lake Manyara, enjoy lunch and an afternoon game drive. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and scenic soda lake.
Day 5: Serengeti Plains
Travel via Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in the Seronera area.
Day 6: Serengeti Full Day
Enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, with the option of a hot air balloon safari at an additional cost, followed by a champagne breakfast.
Day 7: Serengeti Game Drive
Spend another full day exploring the Seronera and Sogore River circuits, with excellent opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, gazelles, and wildebeest.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Depart the Serengeti after breakfast and head to Ngorongoro. Stop at Olduvai Gorge en route, then arrive for lunch and a relaxed afternoon at your lodge.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend 600 meters into the crater for a full day of game viewing in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich landscapes.
Day 10: Lake Eyasi
Visit Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe bushmen and learn about the local hunter-gatherer culture before returning to Arusha in the evening.
